Their Irish operation is run under the mcrent.ie brand and is the local face of that international fleet. The advantage of a European network: standardised vehicles, standardised handover procedures, and the rare option of a one-way rental across borders (Ireland to UK, etc.) when their inventory aligns.
The vehicles are German-built — Dethleffs and Sunlight are two of the most respected motorhome manufacturers in Europe. If you have ever rented a motorhome in Germany or Austria, you have almost certainly driven one of these brands. The build quality is consistently high, and Irish-renter feedback is generally positive on vehicle condition.

Limerick area: McRent operates a secondary Irish depot near Limerick, useful for renters arriving via Shannon Airport or starting a Wild Atlantic Way south-to-north itinerary without doubling back through Dublin.

Our verdict
The European-fleet pick. If you want a German-built Dethleffs or Sunlight motorhome on Irish roads — and the depot logistics of a pan-European operator — McRent is the natural choice. Two Irish depots (Dublin + Limerick) is more coverage than most Irish-only operators offer.
Downsides to know: Less personal feel than family-run operators like Wild Way or West Coast Campervans. The phone support routes through a European call centre rather than the local depot during some hours. Unlimited mileage is great but the per-day rate is mid-to-premium, not budget.
